Former world no.1 Novak Djokovic will tune up for Wimbledon at The Queen’s Club 2018 next week, after accepting a wildcard to the Fever-Tree Championships.

The Serbian star joins stunning line-up led by world no.1 Rafael Nadal, five-time champion Andy Murray and Juan Martin del Potro. The tournament begins on Monday, June 18.

“I am very excited to be playing the Fever-Tree Championships again. I have happy memories of reaching the final at The Queen’s Club 10 years ago and also winning the doubles title the last time I was there. After the exciting events in Rome and Paris, I’m ready for new challenges. Grass is very special, it is the rarest of surfaces so I’m happy I’ll have the opportunity to compete at this strong tournament, which will also be a great preparation for Wimbledon,” Novak said.

Thanking his fans for the support he’s been receiving, Nole added: “I feel your positive energy and support and I’m very grateful for it.”

“We have been hoping Novak would come back to play in the Fever-Tree Championships for years and this is fantastic news for all of us,” tournament director Stephen Farrow said. “Novak is one of the best players in the sport’s history, he adds even more strength to our player line-up, and we can’t wait to see him on grass at The Queen’s Club.”

This will be Novak’s fourth appearance at the ATP World Tour 500 event in London.  He won his only doubles title there in 2010 (w/Jonathan Erlich), and finished runner-up in singles in 2008 (l.to Rafael Nadal).
