Singles draw has been made for the second Grand Slam event of the season, the Roland Garros, taking place in Paris, from May 28 to June 11.

The first round matches will be played during the first three days of the competition.

Third seed Novak Djokovic will open his 2023 French Open campaign against world no.114 Aleksandar Kovacevic (USA) on Monday.

Djokovic might face Marton Fucsovics (HUN, ATP #80) or Hugo Grenier (FRA, WC, ATP #122) in round two.

Novak’s potential rivals in the later stages of the tournament are:

3rd round: Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (ESP, 29), Marco Cecchinato (ITA)
4th round: Hubert Hurkacz (POL, 13), Roberto Bautista Agut (ESP, 19)
Quarter-finals: Andrey Rublev (RUS, 7), Karen Khachanov (RUS, 11), Stan Wawrinka (SUI)
Semi-finals: Carlos Alcaraz (ESP, 1), Stefanos Tsitsipas (GRE, 5), Felix Auger-Aliassime (CAN, 10)

Finals: Daniil Medvedev (RUS, 2), Casper Ruud (NOR, 4), Jannik Sinner (ITA, 8)

It will be Novak’s 19th appearance on Parisian clay (85-16 record). He has won Coupe des Mousquetaires twice (2016 and 2021). Last year he fell to Rafael Nadal in the quarter-final (2-6, 6-4, 2-6, 6-7).

Djokovic will be bidding for a record 23rd Grand Slam title.
