The iconic rivalry between Djokovic and Nadal recorded its final chapter on Saturday. Novak, a 24-time Grand Slam champion, claimed a 6-2, 7-6 (5) victory against the 22-time Major titlist Nadal in the 3rd-place play-off at the Six Kings Slam, an exhibition event in Riyadh.
Jannik Sinner defeated Novak in the semi-finals of the Six Kings Slam exhibition in Riyadh, prevailing over the 24-time Grand Slam champion 6-2, 6-7 (0), 6-4 in two hours and 20 minutes.
Six of the top tennis stars on the ATP Tour will be in action at the Six Kings Slam, an exhibition event that will be played from October 16-19 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
At the warm-up tournament leading up to Wimbledon, the Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic, Novak defeated Frances Tiafoe 6-3, 3-6, 10-7. It was the only match on grass for Nole ahead of the third Grand Slam event of the season, to be played from July 3 to July 16 in London.
Novak recorded his first win for the Team Falcons. He defeated Austrian Sebastian Ofner 6-7 (5), 6-0, 10-7, at Coca-Cola Arena, in Dubai. The exhibition was a great promotion of tennis, as well as a good preparation and warm up for Adelaide and Melbourne where Nole will kick off his 2023 season.
The 21-time Grand Slam champion will close the year at the inaugural edition of the exhibition event “World Tennis League" in Dubai, from 19 to 24 December. He will play for The Falcons together with Grigor Dimitrov, Aryna Sabalenka and Paula Badosa.
Novak took part in a "Day at the Drive" exhibition event on Friday. He pulled out of it because of a blistered hand, before appearing on court to play a set, helping his compatriot Filip Krajinovic beat Jannik Sinner.
Novak won the third place in Abu Dhabi after defeating Karen Khachanov 7-5, 6-3. The four-time former winner of the MWTC will kick-off his 2020 season at the inaugural ATP Cup, to be held from 3-12 January, in Brisbane, Perth and Sydney.
The Greek recorded a 3-6, 7-6 (4), 6-4 win at the International Tennis Centre at Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi on Friday. In the third-place play-off, Novak will face Karen Khachanov on Saturday at 17:00 local time (14:00 CET).
