Novak kicked off this year’s US Open by playing in the mixed doubles competition, partnering with fellow Serbian player Olga Danilovic. The Serbian duo lost in the first round to the Russian pair Daniil Medvedev and Mirra Andreeva, 2-4, 3-5. The match lasted 43 minutes.
