I am very sad to announce that I will not come this year to Cincinnati to play W&S Open. I was really looking forward to it, but my doctors ordered rest because of the injury. One of the hardest things for any athlete is to be sidetracked from the game because of the pain and injury. We all work very hard and focus on building strength and endurance so we can keep up with competition. When injury comes we cannot do much and it usually comes when we really, really want something very much. I have given my heart and soul to tennis, and received so much in return. I remain grateful and appreciative for all I have achieved so far. Body has its own ways of healing and usually it all comes to rest and therapy. As always, I will continue building my strength and will do my best to come back stronger in a few weeks.Thank you for sending me your love and support. I am filled with love and gratitude. Žao mi je što sa vama moram da podelim vest o tome da ove godine neću igrati na turniru u Sinsinatiju. Lekari su mi strogo savetovali odmor i zalečenje povrede.
Kao profesionalni sportista, uvek daješ sve od sebe da se fokusiraš, treniraš, pomeraš svoje granice kako bi ostao u formi i dao svoj maksimum na terenu. Najteže je kada zbog povrede i fizičkog bola budeš sprečen da se takmičiš i postigneš nešto što snažno i dugo želiš. Toliko sam mnogo dao tenisu i sportu i toliko dobio nazad od svih divnih ljudi koje je tenis doneo u moj život, da mogu samo da budem veoma zahvalan. Telo ima svoj ritam, koji moramo da osluškujemo i da poštujemo, a on me u ovom momentu upućuje na odmor i terapiju. Kao i uvek, nastaviću da gradim snagu i daću sve od sebe da se vratim jači u narednim nedeljama. Hvala vam na podršci i ljubavi koju mi šaljete, čujem vas, čitam vas i osećam sve!
