Team World has won its first ever Laver Cup. After victory for Félix Auger-Aliassime and Jack Sock in Sunday’s opening doubles, and then a straight sets win for Auger-Aliassime against Novak, Frances Tiafoe beat Stefanos Tsitsipas 1-6, 7-6 (11), 10-8 after saving four match points to bring triumph to his team.

Novak back to Tour with two wins for Team Europe at Laver Cup
Novak made a winning return to Tour on Saturday at the Laver Cup, defeating Frances Tiafoe 6-1, 6-3 to give Team Europe a 6-4 lead against Team World in London. Two hours later, he scored another two points, recording a 7-6, 6-2 win in pair with Matteo Berrettini.
Novak to join Team Europe at Laver Cup in London
21-time Grand Slam champion will make his second Laver Cup appearance when Europe takes on the World at The O2 in London from September 23-25, 2022. Novak is a member of Team Europe Captain Bjorn Borg’s six-man team, joining Rafael Nadal (Spain), Roger Federer (Switzerland), Andy Murray (Great Britain), Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece) and Casper Ruud (Norway).
