Novak Djokovic and Hamad Medjedovic beat Petros Tsitsipas and Aristotelis Thanos 2-1 in the doubles to complete Serbia's Davis Cup victory over Greece in Belgrade. The 2010 champions booked their place in the 2025 Davis Cup Qualifiers, while Greece will return to the World Group I playoffs.
Davis Cup: Serbia – Greece 2:0 after Day 1
In the first match of the day, Miomir Kecmanovic defeated Aristotelis Thanos 6-3, 6-3 to give Serbia the lead in the Davis Cup World Group I tie. In the second match, Novak dropped just one game against Ioannis Xilas, 6-0, 6-1.

Novak will compete for Serbia during the upcoming weekend in the Davis Cup World Group I tie against Greece, in Belgrade. Draw has been made for the clash that will take place in Aleksandar Nikolic Hall on September 14-15.

Kecmanovic defeated Lorenzo Musetti 6-7 (7), 6-2, 6-1. Novak then suffered a 2-6, 6-2, 5-7 loss to Jannik Sinner in a pulsating battle. Sinner and Lorenzo Sonego brought the crucial third point to their team for a place in the Davis Cup Final where they will meet Australia.
Serbia beat Great Britain in Davis Cup quarter-final
Miomir Kecmanovic beat Jack Draper 7-6 (2), 7-6 (6) to put the 2010 champions ahead. Novak Djokovic followed with a routine 6-4, 6-4 victory over Cameron Norrie, breaking once in each set to bring the second and crucial point to Serbia.
Novak sends Serbia to Davis Cup Final 8
Laslo Djere opened the tie with a 6-4, 6-4 win against Albert Ramos-Vinolas to give Serbia a 1-0 lead against hosts Spain, then Novak Djokovic continued his winning ways with a 6-3, 6-4 victory against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.

Russia defeated Serbia for a place in the Davis Cup semi-finals after a thrilling doubles match win 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (8).

Novak beat Benoit Paire 6-3, 6-3 to clinch the win after Filip Krajinovic beat Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 7-5, 7-6. Viktor Troicki/Janko Tipsarevic face Pierre-Hugues Herbert/Nicolas Mahut in the remaining doubles dead rubber.
Davis Cup Finals to kickstart in Madrid on Monday
The Davis Cup by Rakuten Madrid Finals will be held at the facilities of La Caja Mágica, located in the Parque Lineal del Manzanares, from 18 to 24 November. Novak will lead 2010 champion Serbia, which is in Group A with France and Japan.
