After two weeks of rest, five-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic is working hard ahead of the 2012 Summer Olympics that will be held from July 27 to August 12 in London.
For the first time since July 4, 2011, there’s been a change at the top of the rankings. In the ATP Ranking list as of Monday, July 9, Nole is at no.2, after holding the no.1 ranking for 53 consecutive weeks.
When Nole takes the court for his quarter-final match at the All England Club on Wednesday, he will have maintained his standing atop the ATP Rankings for an entire year, having ascended to world no.1 after his victory over Rafael Nadal in last year’s Wimbledon final on July 4, 2011.
World no.1 Novak Djokovic was presented with the Men´s Singles World Champion award during the 2012 ITF World Champions Dinner at the Pavillion D´Armenonville on June 5 in Paris.
