Novak booked his spot in the third round in of the 2023 French Open following a 7-6 (2), 6-0, 6-3 win over world no.83 Marton Fucsovics in two hours and 44 minutes on Court Philippe Chatrier. He will next meet no.29 seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (2-1 H2H record).
RG 2023: Novak beats Kovacevic to reach second round
Two-time French Open titlist defeated American Aleksandar Kovacevic 6-3, 6-2, 7-6 (1) in windy conditions on Philippe Chatrier on Monday, to reach the second round in Paris. He will take on Hungarian Marton Fucsovics next (ATP #83, H2H record 4-0).
