Novak Djokovic and Hamad Medjedovic beat Petros Tsitsipas and Aristotelis Thanos 2-1 in the doubles to complete Serbia's Davis Cup victory over Greece in Belgrade. The 2010 champions booked their place in the 2025 Davis Cup Qualifiers, while Greece will return to the World Group I playoffs.
Davis Cup: Serbia – Greece 2:0 after Day 1
In the first match of the day, Miomir Kecmanovic defeated Aristotelis Thanos 6-3, 6-3 to give Serbia the lead in the Davis Cup World Group I tie. In the second match, Novak dropped just one game against Ioannis Xilas, 6-0, 6-1.
Serbia Open draw announced
An ATP 250 clay-court event will be held from April 18 to April 24 at the Novak Tennis Center. Nole is a top seed and has a first round BYE. He will open his bid for 87th tour-level title in R2 against compatriot Laslo Djere (ATP #50).
