Novak has clinched the year-end no.1 ATP Ranking for a record-equalling sixth time. The Serbian star, who has finished as world no.1 for the sixth time in the past 10 years (also 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2018), is now level with his childhood hero Pete Sampras.

The star-studded 2020 Nitto ATP Finals is led by world no.1 and world no.2, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. In his 13th appearance at the prestigious event, Novak will attempt to win a record-tying sixth title. He lifted the ATP Finals trophy in 2008, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
Novak, Ruud to meet in Italian Open SFs
Nole continued his bid for a record 36th ATP Masters 1000 title. The world no.1 advanced to his 11th semi-final at the Internazionali BNL d’Italia, following a 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 win against German qualifier Dominik Koepfer. He next faces Casper Ruud (NOR, ATP #34).
