Novak captured his fourth title of a season on Sunday, and 76th overall, outclassing Australian qualifier John Millman in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 to win the Japan Open tennis tournament.

ATP Cup groups announced
The official tournament draw for the inaugural ATP Cup (3-12 January 2020) was held at the Sydney Opera House on Monday. Top seed Serbia, led by world no.1 Novak Djokovic, will play at the Pat Rafter Arena in Brisbane in Group A with France, South Africa and one more country that will qualify on the second entry deadline of 13 November.
Defending US Open champion Novak retires from R16 match
Novak's US Open title defence came to a halt on Sunday when the Serb retired from his fourth-round match against Stan Wawrinka. The Swiss led, 6-4, 7-5, 2-1, when the top seed stopped due to a left shoulder injury. They were facing off for the first time since the 2016 US Open final.
