Nole opened his title defence at the BNP Paribas Open with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Marcos Baghdatis, moving to a 37-6 record at the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event.

Novak will begin title defence in Indian Wells against Marcos Baghdatis on Saturday at 19.00 local time (Sunday at 03.00 CET).
