Novak booked a place in the Rolex Paris Masters semi-finals, following a 6-4, 6-3 triumph over Taylor Fritz in one hour and 14 minutes. He goes on to meet seventh seed Hubert Hurkacz of Poland (H2H 2-0).
Monfils withdraws, Novak gets a walkover to Paris quarterfinals
Top seed is through to the Rolex Paris Masters last eight, after Gael Monfils withdrew from their third round match. For a place in the semi-final, Novak will face Taylor Fritz (ATP #26, 4-0 H2H) on Friday. The American outplayed 10th seed Cameron Norrie (GBR) in straight sets.

Novak began his quest for a record-extending sixth Rolex Paris Masters title following a 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 victory over Marton Fucsovics. The top seed goes on to face 15th-seeded Frenchman Gael Monfils (17-0 H2H).

The final ATP Masters 1000 event of the season is taking place in Paris from November 1 to November 7. Novak is a record five-time champion and will open his quest for a sixth title in the second round against Marton Fucsovics (HUN, ATP #40, H2H 3-0) on Tuesday.
