Mutua Madrid Open draw is out
After reaching the final at the 2022 Serbia Open in Belgrade last week, Nole continues his clay court season at the Mutua Madrid Open, an ATP Masters 1000 event, taking place from May 1 to May 8. As a top seed, the three-time former champion will open his campaign at La Caja Mágica in the second round against Gael Monfils (FRA, ATP #21).
Rublev downs Novak to capture title in Belgrade
Second seed Andrey Rublev won his third title of the season on Sunday, overcoming world no.1 Novak Djokovic 6-2, 6-7 (4), 6-0 in two hours and 29 minutes in the final of the Serbia Open.

An ATP 250 clay-court event will be held from April 18 to April 24 at the Novak Tennis Center. Nole is a top seed and has a first round BYE. He will open his bid for 87th tour-level title in R2 against compatriot Laslo Djere (ATP #50).
Davidovich Fokina downs Novak in Monte Carlo
Alejandro Davidovich Fokina prevailed in a two hour, 55-minute battle on Tuesday, recording a 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-1 victory to reach the third round. Novak is heading to Belgrade, where the Serbia Open, an ATP 250 clay-court event, will be held next week.

Novak is a top seed and has a first-round BYE. He will open his 2022 clay-court season campaign against either Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (ESP, ATP #45, H2H 2-0) or Marcos Giron (USA, ATP #52).
