Nitto ATP Finals: Novak falls to Medvedev in RR2
Top seed and five-time former champion failed in attempt to score his second win in as many matches at the 2020 season finale in London, as he was defeated by no.4 seed Daniil Medvedev 3-6, 3-6 in one hour and 21 minutes at The O2 Arena. Novak will look to book his place in the last four when he meets Alexander Zverev (GER, 6) on Friday.
Novak makes winning start at Nitto ATP Finals in London
Novak started his Nitto ATP Finals run with a 6-3, 6-2 win over eighth seed Diego Schwartzman. The world no.1 beat the Argentine season finale debutant in 78 minutes to move to 1-0 in Group Tokyo 1970.
Novak presented with the 2020 year-end no.1 trophy
Novak has clinched the year-end no.1 ATP Ranking for a record-equalling sixth time. The Serbian star, who has finished as world no.1 for the sixth time in the past 10 years (also 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2018), is now level with his childhood hero Pete Sampras.

Italian lucky loser Lorenzo Sonego beat top seed and 2007 Vienna champion 6-2, 6-1 in the Erste Bank Open quarter-finals.
Novak passes Coric test in Vienna
Novak raised his level as the match went on to beat Borna Coric 7-6 (11), 6-3. For a spot in the ATP 500 tournament last four, the top seed will play Italian lucky loser Lorenzo Sonego (ATP #41) on Friday.
Novak wins all-Serbian clash in Vienna, advances to last 16
Novak is through to the second round at the Erste Bank Open, following a 7-6 (6), 6-3 victory over his friend and compatriot Filip Krajinovic in one hour and 58 minutes. The 2007 Vienna champion goes on to face Borna Coric (3-0 H2H).

Novak won the 2007 Vienna Open defeating Stan Wawrinka in the final, 6-4, 6-0. In his third appearance at the Erste Bank Open, Djokovic will begin his bid for a second tournament trophy when he meets his friend and compatriot Filip Krajinovic in the opening round.
Rafa denies Novak 2nd career Slam with French Open win
Rafael Nadal claimed the 2020 French Open to deny Novak his second career Grand Slam. The 13-time titlist defeated the 2016 champion and top seed in straights sets 6-0, 6-2, 7-5 in a superbly played match under a closed roof on Court Philippe-Chatrier.
Novak sets Roland Garros final showdown with Rafa!
Nole beat fifth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-3, 6-2, 5-7, 4-6, 6-1 after a great battle to reach his fifth French Open final. He will take on Rafael Nadal (ESP, 2) in the championship match on Sunday (15:00 CET).
