Novak continued his quest for a 19th Grand Slam title as he completed a comeback from two-sets-to-love down on Monday for a place in the French Open quarter-finals. The world no.1 progressed after three hours and 27 minutes of play on Court Philippe-Chatrier, when Lorenzo Musetti retired at 6-7 (7), 6-7 (2), 6-1, 6-0, 4-0. In his 49th career major quarterfinal, Novak will take on ninth seed Matteo Berrettini.

World no.1 recorded a 6-1, 6-4, 6-1 victory over Ricardas Berankis on Saturday afternoon to book a place in the fourth round at Roland Garros. He will meet Lorenzo Musetti for a spot in the last eight.

The top seed dismissed Uruguay’s Pablo Cuevas 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 in two hours and six minutes. For a place in the last 16, Novak will face Ricardas Berankis of Lithuania (ATP #93, H2H 3-0).

18-time Grand Slam champion completed a 6-2, 6-4, 6-2 win against Tennys Sandgren on Tuesday to advance into the second round in Paris. Novak will next play Pablo Cuevas (ARG, ATP #92).

Novak claimed his 83rd career singles title and his third crown in Belgrade, following a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Alex Molcan in 88 minutes.

Novak made his 119th tour-level championship match (82-36) and his third final in 2021, as he recorded a 6-1, 4-6, 6-0 triumph over qualifier Andrej Martin.

The second Grand Slam event of the season, the Roland Garros, is taking place in Paris, from May 30 to June 13. Top seed and 2016 titlist Novak will open his 2021 French Open campaign against world no.66 Tennys Sandgren (USA, H2H 3-0).

Novak moved into the last four of the inaugural Belgrade Open, following a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Federico Coria. For a spot in the ATP 250 event final, the top seed will face qualifier Andrej Martin (SVK, ATP #119).

Novak recorded a 6-2, 7-6 (4) win over lucky loser Mats Moraing to progress into the last eight at the Belgrade Open. Next up for the world no.1, who is pursuing his second title of the season, is Federico Coria (ARG, Alt), currently ranked no.96 in the ATP Rankings.

The ATP Tour returns to Belgrade, Serbia, for the second time in 2021. The Belgrade Open, a clay-court tournament, will be held from May 23-29 at the Novak Tennis Centre. Novak is a top seed and will open campaign in R2 against Mats Moraing (GER, LL).
