In his 49th career major quarterfinal, Novak will take on ninth seed Matteo Berrettini.

World no.1 recorded a 6-1, 6-4, 6-1 victory over Ricardas Berankis on Saturday afternoon to book a place in the fourth round at Roland Garros. He will meet Lorenzo Musetti for a spot in the last eight.

The top seed dismissed Uruguay’s Pablo Cuevas 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 in two hours and six minutes. For a place in the last 16, Novak will face Ricardas Berankis of Lithuania (ATP #93, H2H 3-0).

18-time Grand Slam champion completed a 6-2, 6-4, 6-2 win against Tennys Sandgren on Tuesday to advance into the second round in Paris. Novak will next play Pablo Cuevas (ARG, ATP #92).

The second Grand Slam event of the season, the Roland Garros, is taking place in Paris, from May 30 to June 13. Top seed and 2016 titlist Novak will open his 2021 French Open campaign against world no.66 Tennys Sandgren (USA, H2H 3-0).

Rafael Nadal claimed the 2020 French Open to deny Novak his second career Grand Slam. The 13-time titlist defeated the 2016 champion and top seed in straights sets 6-0, 6-2, 7-5 in a superbly played match under a closed roof on Court Philippe-Chatrier.

Nole beat fifth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-3, 6-2, 5-7, 4-6, 6-1 after a great battle to reach his fifth French Open final. He will take on Rafael Nadal (ESP, 2) in the championship match on Sunday (15:00 CET).

Novak continued his pursuit of a second Roland Garros title on Wednesday, following a 4-6, 6-2, 6-3, 6-4 comeback triumph over no.17 seed Pablo Carreno Busta to progress into his 10th French Open semi-final. The top seed will next take on fifth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas (GRE) who defeated Andrey Rublev (RUS, 13) in straight sets.

Nole produced another solid win when he beat no.15 seed Karen Khachanov (RUS) 6-4, 6-3, 6-3 to advance into his 14th Roland Garros quarter-finals. For a spot in the last four, the top seed will play Pablo Carreno Busta (ESP, 17).

World no.1 added another straight-sets win to his 2020 Roland Garros record on Saturday, sailing past Daniel Elahi Galan 6-0, 6-3, 6-2 to reach the last 16 for the 14th time. He goes on to face no.15 seed Karen Khachanov (RUS, H2H 3-1).
