Novak began his quest for a record-equalling sixth Nitto ATP Finals title with a straight sets victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas. The seventh seed dictated the contest perfectly to clinch his ninth consecutive win over the Greek 6-4, 7-6 (4). The match lasted one hour and 37 minutes.
