Three-time US Open champion came back from a set down to beat 2014 runner-up Kei Nishikori of Japan 6-7 (4), 6-3, 6-3, 6-2 for a place in the fourth round. Novak goes on to play Jenson Brooksby (USA) on Monday.

World no.1 continued his chase for the Grand Slam, following a convincing 6-2, 6-3, 6-2 victory over Dutch qualifier Tallon Griekspoor in one hour and 39 minutes. Novak will next face 2014 US Open runner-up and former world no.4 Kei Nishikori (17-2 H2H record).

Novak started his Grand Slam quest with a 6-1, 6-7, 6-2, 6-1 triumph over Holger Vitus Nodskov Rune. He is now 22-0 in Grand Slam matches this season, and into the second round at the US Open.

Cincinnati Masters draw revealed, Novak vs Berankis in R2
The 2020 Western & Southern Open is the first tournament to be played since the ATP Tour was suspended in early March. It will take place at Flushing Meadows (August 22-28) without fans in attendance.
Novak is a top seed. He will open campaign in R2 against Ricardas Berankis (LTU, ATP #72, Q).
